Johnnie Taylor - Johnnie Taylor's Greatest Hits mp3 album
Greatest Hits is the first compilation album by American singer-songwriter James Taylor. Released on November 1, 1976. To this day, it is the best-selling album of his career. The album took place in the context of Taylor's end of his recording contract with Warner Brothers. It features two redone versions of "Carolina in My Mind" and "Something in the Way She Moves", both of which had been previously included on Taylor's self-titled debut album in 1968.
A nice single-album collection of Taylor's best Stax hits to that point. Until the Chronicle retrospective, this was the best bet for those who only wanted a reasonable batch of his hits. It's still worth getting, although the Chronicle CD has everything and some great liner notes as well.

Johnnie Taylor Chronicle: The 20 Greatest Hits Audio CD. Johnnie Taylor. Good Love Audio CD. The Very Best Of Johnnie Taylor Audio CD. The Best Of Johnnie Taylor On Malaco, Vol. 1 Audio CD. Because of the record companies greed. Basically, there are TWO greatest hits CDs by Johnny and they contain almost the same material, down to maybe 3 or 4 songs. Also, Johnny didn't have many 'hits' per se, but he did lay down some killer tracks that just never were given a chance. The CD publishers simply threw in a bunch of covers that people would recognize instead of maybe asking people who know what they want to hear from Johnny. I'd say 4 1/2 if I could, his voice is just that good and the band is tight, holding that 8/16 DOWN.
