Barrett is the second and final studio album of new material released by former Pink Floyd frontman Syd Barrett. Recording began at Abbey Road Studios on 26 February 1970, and lasted for 15 sessions until 21 July. The album was produced by Pink Floyd's guitarist David Gilmour and keyboardist Richard Wright, who also contributed on bass guitar and keyboards respectively, along with previous Madcap contributor Jerry Shirley on drums.

Captain Troy Tempest (Don Mason) is the pilot of Stingray, his navigator and hydrophone operator is Lieutenant George Lee "Phones" Sheridan (Robert Easton), and they are joined by regular crew member Marina, a beautiful mute young woman, a rescued slave, who can breathe underwater. With its emphasis on fast-paced, underwater action/adventure, Stingray is an entertaining, half-hour TV program featuring puppet-people, or marionettes, acting out the stories on miniature, elaborately-built sets.

His mastery of English dialect earned him the epithet "The Man of a Thousand Voices". Raymond Charles "Ray" Barrett (2 May 1927 – 8 September 2009) was an Australian actor. During the 1960s, he was a leading actor on British television, where he was best known for his appearances in The Troubleshooters (1965–71). Don Mason (8 September 1929–20 January 1980) was a Canadian actor best known for his leading voice role in Gerry Anderson's Stingray (1964–65) as Captain Troy Tempest.
