Great White is the first full-length album by the American rock band Great White. Three tracks are taken from the band's previous EP, albeit in re-recorded versions. The musical style of this album is very different from the following highly successful releases of Great White, as they display here a more hard-driving metal sound as opposed to their later, blues-infused rock sound. EMI America judged the album a disaster and Great White were dropped.

The Blues has traveled around the world and back again, and our list reflects this and they do! but to our ears they sound pretty good. The Blues' originated as a style of local folk music from around the Mississippi Delta as the 20 th Century began. As African-Americans moved from rural poverty to the cities in the 'Great Migration' after WWI, Big Bill Broonzy was a central figure on the 30s Chicago scene. He helped to develop the idea of a Blues Band, with guitar, piano and harp, and incorporated jazz-influenced complexity into the urban sound. Blind lemon jefferson - king of the country blues.

The album gets off to a bad start with a ponderous, leaden, dragging version of "Why Don't We Do It in the Road?," performed here by a group called "Jimmy Thackery and the Drivers. The very thing they seem to lack is drive; the drummer in particular seems to be holding the whole performance back. The rest of the cuts feature various Telarc blues artists fronting a core group consisting of . Smith on guitar, T-Bone Wolk on bass, Peter Re on bass, and Steve Holley on drums.

Of the players on The Big Bad Blues, Gibbons notes: From deep in the heart of Texas, our Hammond organ specialist, Mr. Mike Flanigin, stepped forward and accepted the invitation to step from the B3 bench to take on the task of pounding the ivory 88s. Great piano stuff from Mike ‘The Drifter’ Flanigin. Master of the Fender Bass-guitar, Joe Hardy lent his low-down sound with his fearless funkiness, SO fine! Also, in the mash-up mix, the t-plan, Greg Morrow.
