Where did it go that yester glow When we could feel The wheel of life turn our way Yesterme yesteryou yesterday. I had a dream so did you life Was warm and love was true Two kids who followed all the rules Yester folls and now. Now it seems those yester dreams Were just a cruel And foolish game we used to play Yesterme yesteryou yesterday. When I recall what we had I feel lost I feel sad with nothing but The memory of yester love and now Now it seems those yester dreams.

Yester-Me, Yester-You, Yesterday. A few of his songs from the "Little Stevie" era are undisputed masterpieces - "Fingertips, Pts. 1-2," "Uptight (Everything's Alright)," "I Was Made to Love Her," "Yester-Me, Yester-You, Yesterday" - but most are fairly run-of-the-mill Motown pop-soul, and more than any label, Motown knew how to churn out run-of-the-mill pop-soul

Yester-Me, Yester-You, Yesterday" is a 1969 soul song written by Ron Miller and Bryan Wells, released by American Motown sician Stevie Wonder on the album My Cherie Amour. The song continued Wonder's success on the pop charts. It reached on the pop singles chart and become Wonder's ninth Top 10 single of the 1960s.

She says baby everything is alright, uptight, out of sight Baby, everything is alright, uptight, clean out of sight. She's a pearl of a girl, I guess that's what you might say I guess her folks brought her up that way The right side of the tracks, she was born and raised In a great big old house, full of butlers and maids She says no one is better than I, I know I'm just an average.

The original TMG 1042 is from the 'Motown Singles Collection'. There is no mention of this on this release which has a different text layout to the original TMG 1042 and I suspect is a later pressing than 1976?
