New York Dolls - New York Dolls / Too Much Too Soon mp3 album

Too Much Too Soon is the second album by the American hard rock band New York Dolls. It was released on May 10, 1974, by Mercury Records. The album was recorded earlier that year at A&R Studios in New York City with veteran producer Shadow Morton. He had been enlisted by New York Dolls frontman David Johansen after the group felt dissatisfied with the recording of their 1973 self-titled debut album

The Dolls sound on the verge of falling apart throughout the album, as Johnny Thunders and Syl Sylvain relentlessly trade buzz-saw riffs while David Johansen sings, shouts, and sashays on top of the racket

The New York Dolls are exclusively represented by Dollhouse, Inc. A Dollhouse Inc. production Recorded at A&R Studios/New York City Mastered at Sterling Sound. This album is dedicated too Diana Barrymore. There is additional runout groove information that has been crossed out: SRM-1-706A-CS6 (side A) & SRM-1-706A/B-CS7 (side B).

But this issue from Culture Factory deserves a lot of praise, for the crispness of the sound, the unabashed high volume, and the overall care that went into the release - if not as elaborate a package as the import, it's also a lot less expensive and sounds just as good (and that's great, by the way)

After the clatter of their first album failed to bring them a wide audience, the New York Dolls hired producer Shadow Morton to work on the follow-up, Too Much Too Soon. The differences are apparent right from the start of the ferocious opener, "Babylon. Not only are the guitars cleaner, but the mix is dominated by waves of studio sound effects and female backing vocals.

Ideal for anyone who loves punk, Blues or all of the above. The New York Dolls aspired to be The Rolling Stones, and came out as "The Lipstick Killers"; and when they realized that, th.
