The Vaselines - All The Stuff And More... mp3 album
Dum-Dum is the first full-length album by the alternative rock band The Vaselines, released in 1989. It was recorded at Chamber Studios, Edinburgh between December 1988 and January 1989. The album was produced by the band themselves and Jamie Watson, and was included in its entirety for their career retrospective The Way of the Vaselines: A Complete History.
Soon signing to Pastels frontman Stephan Pastel's newly formed 53rd and 3rd label, the Vaselines' first-ever studio session yielded their debut single, 1987's "Son of a Gu. The follow-up, "Dying for It," appeared a year later, with the inclusion of viola player Sophie Pragnell plainly acknowledging the band's debt to the Velvet Underground
The Vaselines announced their third studio album, V for Vaselines, in June 2014 which was released on 29 September 2014 on Rosary Music. The single "High Tide Low Tide" followed in August, being released as a digital download and 7 inch vinyl.

Home Pop/Rock V for Vaselines. But over the Vaselines’ career, they’ve made more than a few references to sex ( Sex Sux, Monsterpussy ), including 2010’s Sex with an X, the band’s return to recording after almost 20 years away from a studio. When the Vaselines got back together triumphantly in 2008 to play live shows, that was nothing short of miraculous. When they followed it up with the rambunctious and fun album Sex with an X in 2010, that was also pretty special.

A deluxe reissue of its predecessor, this 36-track juggernaut boasts new cover art, a new title, a thoughtful remastering of the group's existing catalog and a smattering of previously unreleased demos and live tracks. Though you could argue Enter the Vaselines is for hardcore twee fans only, it does offer newbies a fuller understanding of these indie pop icons.
Pitchfork Music Festival Chicago. Pitchfork Music Festival Paris. But their reunion also seemed like a "fuck it, why not?" move . Pretend the album was recorded at the same sessions as 1989's Dum-Dum, and it's a kick. It's instructive to compare the Vaselines to the Pastels, their contemporaries and scenemates (with whom Kelly also played).
The Vaselines might not be moving on, but they're focusing more on the present than the past. Thankfully, On V for Vaselines - their third album proper - there is no sign of their lyrical wit waning, or any obvious indications of a shift in sound, but their spark has dimmed somewhat since 2010’s unexpected triumphant return Sex With An X, which is partly due to the slightly less shambolic guitar playing, and a general sense of detachment within the lyrics.
